Linq feauture not showing on Visual Studio 2017

Luis 2 weeks ago • updated by Omer Raviv (CTO) 2 weeks ago 8

Hi,

I am trying to evaluate your tool, I mostly liked it because of the Linq debugging features but they are not showing/working for me and I don't know why. I looked at the log file and it does not show any error like in other cases reported here.

Well, I am guessing you not support Linq to Dataset as I am not seeing any query like mine in your the forum.

I like the other features but I am not sure if they are all worth without the Linq debugging, only time will tell.

Thanks for the report, Luis! Does this work if you extract the "priceList.AsEnumerable()" part of a different variables?

Also, does the LINQ debugging feature work for you on regular (non-dataset) objects?

Hi Omer, yes I tried one of the regular Linq queries you have on your demo project and it worked.

Hi Omer, any chance this functionality can be added/fixed? I use Linq to Dataset a lot in my projects and I would love to debug them this way

Hi Luis, yes, we are investigating this issue and will let you know once we know more.

I have the same problem. It seems to be related to .Net Core projects.

Sorry to hear you've been having problems with LINQ debugging, Dan.

.NET Core support for LINQ debugging is coming later this month.

Not sure, all the other Linq queries work correctly for me. If it were because of Core they wouldn’t work either
