I have found your project coming from: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2927991/copy-object-values-in-visual-studio-debug-mode In there the question was to copy the entire object into to clipboard or anywhere else. I suggest you could make a right-click serialization (to xml, json, or whatever would be mostly suitable in this context) of the object which is in the debug mode. In that way, when a developer encounters a rare hard to reproduce error, he could copy the state data, and use it in the UnitTests. To further improve usability one could right click in the editor and say 'paste as instance' which would paste the object in a correct type, by parsing the xml, to give better idea it should: StronglyTypesOjbect debugValue = new CustomXMLDeserializer(@"the auto generated xml would go in here"); this would allow to very quickly reporoduce reare to encounter errors for the sake of the unit testing.
