Non-modal quick watch window

I love your 'star' feature, but it would be more useful (IMO) if the quick watch window weren't modal. Is this something you can do?

Barring that, Is there a way to display this information in the standard VS watch windows?

I sent the above to the author and got a very quick response in which he asked me to post my request here. This is his comment on my suggestion:

We do hope to make the QuickWatch window non-modal, and also implement a special "BugAid" version of the Watch window, but unfortunately, those features are quite complex and will not be implemented in the near future.

OzCode 0.9.3223.6114 now supports "pinning" Data-Tips to the code-editor, which act as a non-modal way of display the same information displayed in the QuickWatch window. Support for a special Watch window replacement is still planned for the future.

Any news on this? I've just checked out the latest 2.0 beta features; they are all great, but I would also really like to have a 'non-modal watch window'. Pinning is OK, but no always convenient. Having the watch windows in a dockable, sizable, standard VS window would be ideal.
The OzCode Watch window will unfortunately not make it to v2.0, however, it is very high on our list of priorities for the next version.

While I realize that this is not the same thing as having a full-blown Watch window, one technique that I personally find more convenient than Pinning is to just toggle the new "Magic Glance" feature on and keep it on as I step through code. If you star a field or a property, that will appear as part of the Magic Glance visualization, which makes it a lot easier to look at data.
Thanks for the update and I look forward to this in the next version. Yes, Magic Glance is excellent!

Any news on making a truely non modal QuickWatch?

The "pinning" data-tips does not really work well when browsing for code related to the watched data, currently I am falling back to taking a lot of screenshots of the QuickWatch window

Voting is disabled so i cannot vote this suggestion up. The pinning is just a trick and it cannot work in all cases. For eg, if i want to evaluate a method result of a variable, i cannot do it while debugging.

Thanks for your comment. We've always loved the idea, and are still looking into adding a full-blown OzCode Watch Window in the future. Since this topic is very old and relates to an ancient version of OzCode, the vote is disabled. I suggest that you open a new Feature Request in the main forum so that you and others could vote on.
