"Break on all exceptions" enhancement

Liviu 7 years ago updated by Thomas W. 4 years ago 3
There is a thing that is annoying me in all versions of Visual Studio.
Sometimes we need to activate break on all exceptions:

a) There is no fast way to add the current exception to ignore list
b) The ignore list is not preserved between debugger sessions
c) Would be very nice to be able to ignore a exception type only in certain places ( filter by callstack ), filter also by the namespace of the Exception, or assembly etc...

It feels that compared to the complexity of the other features in the addin, this would be super easy.

Best regards
Ignoring an exception type in certain places is something I've wished for years I could do!  Especially when the .Net framework relies on first chance system.io exceptions for loading resources, etc.
