System.ExecutionEngineException when debugging with OzCode

Reinhard Schuerer 4 weeks ago • updated 3 weeks ago 4

When I set in a breakpoint in my UWP app and then continue the application it crashes later at a completely different code with an

System.ExecutionEngineException exception.

As soon as I remove the breakpoint the crash disappears

This happens even when I disable OzCode under OzCode->Options->Features

When I disable the Extension itself and restart Visual Studio the problem is gone.

Thanks so much for the report, and for trying out the new EAP. Sorry to hear it has caused you problems.

Couple of quick questions:

  1. Can you please send us your latest log files from %TEMP%\OzCode\Logs to support@oz-code.co?
  2. Does the problem reproduce even if you the File->New Project and create a new UWP app?

Thank you for your patience.

  1. I sent the logs
  2. I don't think I can reproduce it with a blank app as the error occurs when I navigate to another page. The project was created with the Windows Template Studio. I just created a new test project with Windows Template Studio with default setting and just adding two additional pages.
When I set a breakpoint add the MainPage.xaml.cs line 13, start the app, continue when it hits the breakpoint and then navigate to one of other pages (TelerikDataGrid1/2) it always crashes in the InitializeComponent() of the TelerikDataGridPage or1TelerikDataGrid1Page (TelerikDataGridPage.xaml.cs line 20)

You find the sample project here: https://github.com/rschuerer/TestApp/

Thank you very much, Reinhard! We are attempting to reproduce the issue and will get back to you as soon as we find out more.

I update from to and now the problem is gone.
